For the third year in succession Kids in Jazz kicking of the Oslo Jazz Festival early by staging a mini-concert in the Opera lobby!
Kids in Jazz consists of a small group of young musicians who play together to create some great jazz music! Their concert will take place just before the OJF’s opening concert which this year is a tribute to Joni Mitchell. The mini-concert will last for about 30 minutes.

From August 9 to 14 talented youngsters from all over the world will arrive in Oslo for the annual Kids in Jazz festival. Welcome to a feast of playful jazz and improvisation at a high level!
At Kids in Jazz you can experience concerts of differing formats. This festival offers jazz to a wide public and all are welcome – both young and old – to come along to be both impressed and inspired.
The concerts will take place at Barnas jazzhus (Keyserløkka), Nasjonal jazzscene, Sentralen, Barnekunstmuseet (Frøen) and Kafé Hærverk. In addition, there will be pop-up concerts at the Opera, Barnekunstmuseet’s gallery at Tjuvholmen and at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen.
