In 2016, guitarist Jacob Young and vocalist Siril Malmedal Hauge met during a recording session, and that was the start of what was going to be a lovely collaboration. It started with a few performances now and then, and in 2018 they released the critically acclaimed album Last Things.
Last Things consists of jazz standards, pop classics and self-composed material, with a diverse song selection ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Bendik Hofseth. All songs performed elegantly by only Malmedal Hauge's vocals and Young's guitar.
The album was well received by music reviewers globally and got favorable reviews from Dagbladet, Jazz Journal, All About Jazz and more. It was awarded the "Silver Award" by the Japanese Jazz Critique Magazine for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2018, and was nominated in the same category at the US Independent Music Awards 2019.
