Saturday’s forecast may be unpredictable, but we’ve got guaranteed groovin’ tunes with two vivid and vibrant concerts at Nasjonal Jazzscene: Dyr og Rare Kjerringer and Rare Dyr.  Animals (and hags!) will be front and centre, as the musicians will animate their stories with tales and tunes.  It’s a fun day for the whole family.

The day begins at 11:30am with Dyr og Rare Kjerringer, who will revamp traditional folk songs of Gudbrandsdalen with jazzy grooves and moves.  Children will enjoy the short stories, jokes, and music with large and small animals, and maybe a weird hag or two!

The second session begins in the afternoon at 2pm with the band Rare Dyr singing classic Norwegian and Danish songs, reimagined as a musical with animals of all sizes. Get a glimpse of the secret lives of small beetles, hungry cods, and other strange animals!  Lars Andreas Aspesæter from Beat for Beat will be carrying the tunes on the piano for this must-see show.
