This year Norwegian pianist, composer and author Ketil Bjørnstad will celebrate his 50th anniversary as a musician, and Oslo Jazz Festival is proud to have this as our opening concert at The Norwegian Opera & Ballett.
The jubilee concert will capture the main lines of Ketil Bjørnstad’s career, from his debut with the Oslo Philharmonic in 1969 to his latest album that he recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studio in London in 2018.
Bjørnstad has worked with a great deal of wonderfull musicians during his career, and he has invited a handfull of them to join him on stage this evening: Ole Paus, Anneli Drecker, Lill Lindfors, Kristin Asbjørnsen, Svante Henryson, Audun Erlien and Rune Arnesen.
