In 1990 the Vossa Jazz Festival commissioned a composition by renowned jazz musician Arild Andersen, and the result was Sagn. In April, Sagn was performed live at Vossa Jazz once more, and in August we´ll finally get to experience it live at Oslo Jazzfestival!

Sagn was also recorded and published as an album released with Kirkelig Kulturverksted and ECM, and was an important part of the Norwegian jazz- and folk wave in the 80s and 90s. Sagn still feels fresh and serves as an inspiration for both jazz- and folk musicians across Norway to this day.
