The Swedish drummer Cornelia Nilsson is rightfully considered one of the most exciting voices on the Scandinavian jazz scene in recent years. From her base in Copenhagen, she has made her mark with a sensitive drumming style executed with millimeter precision, delightful drive, and an unmistakable love for jazz. It's no wonder she was handpicked to play with giants like Kenny Barron and Ron Carter.

She has recently released her debut album "Where Do You Go?," which has deservedly received rave reviews in the press. Here you'll find her own compositions, interspersed with carefully selected and swinging gems from Bud Powell, Ornette Coleman, and Thelonious Monk. The album was recorded with two different trio lineups, one featuring American pianist Aaron Parks, and the other with Hungarian tenor saxophonist Gabor Bolla. Bass powerhouse Daniel Franck is one of Nilsson's closest collaborators and is featured on the entire album.

For the concert at Herr Nilsen, Nilsson and Franck will be joined by Jonas Kullhammar on saxophone, completing the trio. Expect high energy, dynamic rhythm shifts, and a vital presence from a blazing hot trio led by Cornelia Nilsson!
