Finity was originally created as a commisioned work by the duo Skrap (Heida Johannesdottir and Anja Lauvdal) for the contemporary music festival Only Connect in 2018. Since then, Skrap has been dissolved and Finity has become a band. The band consists of Hanna Paulsberg, Torstein Lavik Larsen, Andreas Wildhagen, Kyrre Laastad in addition to the band leaders Heida Johannesdottir and Anja Lauvdal.
Their album We Are the Granddaughters of the Witches You Need Burn released on Jazzland in 2019 to great reviews. Their genre-bending and playful approach to their music clearly triggers productivity, as they’re releasing their second album this year. The album ‘Jazz In English, Finity's Destiny’ will be out on Jazzland Records in august, and the release concert will be at the Oslo Jazz Festival! The album consists of well-known and beloved Destiny's Child songs, performed with the Finity signature expression and sound.
