Flukten
Nasjonal Jazzscene Victoria
Wednesday 14th August 21:00
It originally started as a fruitful jam session among friends, but has since grown to become one of the country's leading jazz groups. Even though Flukten's inception occurred during the thickest and darkest times of the pandemic, the band has found room in their already overfilled schedules and played many concerts at home and abroad to great acclaim. With a band consisting of some of our foremost musicians in the form of Hanna Paulsberg, Marius Klovning, Bárður Reinert Poulsen, and Hans Hulbækmo, it is no wonder that the enthusiasm spreads in the concert venue.
With the debut album Velkommen håp from 2021 - which according to Morgenbladet's reviewer "oozes with boundary-breaking freedom-seeking and musical adventure." - they won the Spellemann Award in the jazz category. In Flukten, you hear the sum of the four musicians' expressions, cultivated in bands such as Hanna Paulsberg Concept, Wako, Espen Berg Trio, GURLS, Moskus, and a bunch of other bands.
Now, Flukten is releasing their highly anticipated self-titled second album, led by the sparkling singles Bjørni Sover and Flukten. It will be a wonderful experience to hear both older and brand new fresh tunes from a playful band in top form at Victoria this evening!
