Multi-instrumentalist and Spellemann Award winner Harald Lassen is one of the key figures in Norway’s contemporary jazz scene. He has truly established himself with several critically acclaimed albums and, not least, celebrated live performances. In August, his new album RIK will be released, and the release party will take place at Blå – Himmel and the Oslo Jazz Festival!
In his music, we encounter an improviser and songwriter who invites listeners and fellow musicians to explore and play within what he has created — an artist who understands that the only valid taste is the personal one. Beyond his roots in Norwegian jazz, Harald Lassen is also known for collaborations with No. 4, Sondre Lerche, Ivan Ave, Susanna Wallumrød, and many, many others.
Together with a wonderful and deeply soulful group, Lassen centers the music around his captivating songs and takes the listener on a liberating journey. Grounded and atmospheric at the same time.
