Kongle Trio made their Oslo Jazz Festival debut in 2019 as participants in the Nordic Showcase, and have since then played around the country, gaining more and more popularity.
The band is inspired by the piano trio format, and artists such as Maria Kannegaard Trio, Moskus, and Helge Lien Trio. Kongle Trio plays with open, curious and playful approach to their music, with a distinct Nordic melodic sensibility.
Over the past year they have performed at the Nasjonal Jazzscene Vi, Trondheim Jazz Forum, Kulturhuset, Serendip, and concerts in Estonia. In addition, they have been selected for this year's Jazz intro, and have the opportunity to be named Young Jazz Musicians of the Year 2020. Everyone wants to hear Kongle Trio!
The band consists of Liv Andre Hauge on piano, Øystein Skjelstad Østensen on double bass, and Veslemøy Narvesen on drums.
