Oslojazz Talent: Bankvelv

Bankvelv is a duo consisting of Heidi Kvelvane and Symre Taugbøl Bang. The repertoire is limited to springar og rull from Western Norway. They have gone to great lengths and learned the tunes in the master tradition on the Hardanger fiddle and accordion, before transferring and arranging them for saxophone and guitar. The result is playful improvisations in their hands, with the original dance tune in their heads.
