Oslojazz Talent: DOLKAR

Dolkar takes Norwegian and Swedish folk tunes and fiddle melodies, tears them apart and puts them back together on the premises of "jazz". The music is alive, and no concert is exactly the same. The project places great emphasis on spontaneity and has a playful and light mood. The dynamics of the music range from quiet, soft interpretations to energetic and cheeky, freely improvised explosions, while at the same time taking the source material seriously. We look forward to sharing old songs in a new guise with you!
