Herr Nilsen
Friday 15th August 23:00

Erle Fonneland is a Norwegian singer, composer, lyricist, and creative producer, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at the jazz program in Stavanger. In the summer of 2024, Fonneland released her debut album, Komorebi, recorded with her septet. The album received attention both nationally and internationally.
As a singer and composer, Fonneland is committed to allowing the music to evolve without limitations from genre or established musical norms, staying true to an unpolished imagination. She writes warmly and honestly, shaping a fairytale-like universe of dreamy motifs and poetic lyrics. This universe expands when both jazz and folk musicians are invited in, adding new colors to the palette. In playful interplay with the six other musicians, a sound full of life emerges. Elements of Scandinavian folk music blend seamlessly with jazz and Norwegian singer-songwriter pop, as seven individual perspectives come together and converse. Alongside Fonneland’s deep and heartfelt expressive abilities, the listener is taken on a journey through a growing universe of questions, stories, and reflections.
