Oslojazz Talent: Ragnarök Trio

Ragnarök Trio is a NO/NL-based project led by the Icelandic guitarist Thorkell Ragnar. The trio was formed in Rotterdam 2022 and has influences in jazz that can be described as raw and sincere. The music is strongly influenced by punk, rock and various compositional concepts from the 20th century; serialism, symmetry and free atonality. The trio explores these musical elements through a free improvisational style, and seeks to create a unique sound world that is both abstract and chaotic. A kind of doomsday jazz. The band recorded their debut album in December 2023 and will be released in autumn 2024.

NB! Blå - Himmel is unfortunately not universally designed. The concerts take place on the second floor, and stairs must be used to get there.
