Petter Eldh presents Koma Saxo

The highly potent five-man band Komo Saxo is led by Swedish visionary bass player and producer Petter Eldh. Eldh, who has been living in Berlin for the better part of the last ten years, has long sought to weld Scandinavian jazz with his Berlin surroundings.

Eldh takes the lead brings a long a cast of talented characters, including Christian Lillinger on the drums in addition to three saxophonists: Otis Sandsjö, Jonas Kullhammar and Mikko Innanen.. The bands wants to elevate groove based avantgarde-jazz to a new level.

The debut album titled Koma Saxo was released in 2019. The album has a distinct groove and a sense of urgency to it, as if the the band is running and playing at the same time. This album was followed up with the live album LIVE, released in 2021.

Komo Saxo is playing at Nasjonal Jazzscene Victoria during Oslo Jazzfestival.
