Dream team in the Aula | Oslojazz 2025

Joshua Redman continues his celebration as festival artist of the year at Oslo Jazzfestival with yet another musical delight. Here, the collaboration between the four giants Redman (saxophone), Bugge Wesseltoft (piano), Arild Andersen (bass), and Per Oddvar Johansen (drums) is brought back to life. With this group, there will be a wonderful blend of jazz expertise and playfulness, executed with sparkling interplay.

This is a project that first saw the light of day at Moldejazz 2006, to enormous applause from the audience. There has been a high demand for more concerts with the quartet, and with the exception of two performances at the National Jazz Scene in 2018, there have been few opportunities to see the band. Now, fortunately, we are in for a festive reunion at the University Aula.

Redman has forged close ties with the Norwegian jazz scene through several projects over the years, and this band formation has played a central role. This will undoubtedly be a wonderful concert experience filled to the brim with playing and reunion joy from a dream team of musicians!
