A musical journey of discovery for children | Oslojazz 2025
Riti Ritimo is an interactive and sensory performance for children and families, where rhythm and movement take center stage. With live music, singing, and storytelling, the audience is invited on a musical journey of discovery.
Through the use of percussion, kora (a traditional African string instrument), and vocals, children are taken into a rhythmic landscape that ranges from heartbeats to folk tunes from around the world. The performance is about listening, feeling, moving, and participating – and everything happens in interaction with the audience. Here, children get to hear, feel, and take part.
The performance is suitable for children from around 3 years and up. It is part of Summer at Sentralen and is presented by the Oslo Jazz Festival. The performance takes place in Øvre Slottsgate outside the main entrance to Sentralen.
Riti Ritimo consists of Mariama Ndure, Karoline Wallace, and Lius Machado.
