Esther Violas music is melodic, melancholic, and simply captivating. With roots in country music, she mixes the harmonies of nordic jazz with the american folk music’s blues and melancholy. Her biggest inspirations are Joni Mitchell, Esbjörn Svensson Trio, and Radiohead.

Esther is origianlly from Malmö and moved to Oslo to study jazz at the Norwegian Music Academy last year. Here, her music obtained new elements of improvisations and harmony. Alongside her band she creates a sound that it’s hard not to feel moved.
