Boogie at Blå | Oslojazz 2025
Stella & The Longos lit up Parkteatret with a spectacular concert during Oslo World in 2024, and now the band is back to conquer Blå and the Oslo Jazz Festival! The band was founded by vocalist Stella Zekri and producer Ed Longo, and is rooted in the sun-drenched, dancefloor-friendly soundscapes of the 70s and 80s. The music is infectious, danceable, and irresistibly catchy—in other words, tailor-made for a festival night in August.
Zekri and Longo both have backgrounds as DJs and record collectors, and they bonded over a shared fascination with 80s boogie and zouk music. Their debut mini-album Détends-Toi was released in 2022, and the band Stella & The Longos came together during the recording. It brings together musicians from all over Europe and South America, each contributing their own musical influences. Together, they create a charming melting pot where genres blur and both band and audience unite in the groove. They're truly crafting their own musical universe.
The concert with Stella & The Longos is one of the final events in this year’s festival program, and there’s no doubt that the festival will close with a danceable bang!
