A musical recess with GURLS | Oslojazz 2023

Since 2013, the band GURLS has been sax player Hannah Paulsberg and bassist Ellen Andrea Wangs musical recess that all the kids want to partake in. For this collaborative project with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, vocalist Marianna Sangita has joined GURLS, making it a hard-hitting trio.

GURLS debut album Run boy, run won a Norwegian Grammy for best jazz album in 2018, and since the premiere of this commissioned work in 2021, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and GURLS have played virtually everywhere – Trondheim Jazz Festival, Mandaljazz, Moldejazz, Sildajazz, not to mention the sold-out show at Victoria National Jazz Scene in November 2022.

Now, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra & GURLS are ready for Oslo Jazzfestival 2023!
