We´re happy to announce three new names and four new shows to this year´s festival program:

Cyrille Aimée

Aimée follows a tradition rooted in the great American songbook but draws just as much inspiration from modern pop, bossa nova, swing jazz, and pure vocal improvisation. In recent years, the songwriter Aimée has become increasingly prominent, which is evident on this year's album "à Fleur de Peau." Here, there is plenty of soulful jazz, woven together with sophisticated pop, warmed with a tropical breeze from the Caribbean Sea. Perhaps not so surprising since many of the songs were written in her home in Costa Rica.

We look forward to presenting Cyrille Aimée at Oslo Jazz Festival alongside a tight band at Victoria, a perfect stage for Aimée's colorful and catchy universe.

Emmet Cohen Trio

Despite his young age, the American pianist Emmet Cohen has been delivering classic yet expansive jazz for over a decade. With a blend of fresh interpretations of timeless standards and his own vital compositions, he has achieved great success with both concert audiences and critics worldwide.

The Emmet Cohen Trio (with guests) delivered a magnificent concert at Moldejazz in 2023. Now it's finally Oslo Jazz Festival's turn to experience one of the most sought-after piano trios out there.

Hedvig Mollestad Trio

Hedvig Mollestad Trio has released several critically acclaimed albums on the prominent record label Rune Grammofon and is an undisputed live favorite, having performed everywhere from small venues to large concert halls and jazz festivals around the world.

The band is always a joy to experience on the concert stage, where Mollestad's thick and thunderous riffs, Ellen Brekken's pumping basslines, and Ivar Loe Bjørnstad's hard-hitting rhythms shine side by side. This evening, Oslo Jazz Festival invites you to two parties with HM3 at Herr Nilsen, with a concert at 7:00 PM and another at 10:00 PM. We recommend catching both.
