Henriette Eilertsen Trio
Henriette Eilertsen is truly in the spotlight these days. In just a few years, she has established herself as a sought-after and versatile flutist and composer on the Scandinavian jazz scene. In Eilertsen’s compositions, there is a fearless navigation through references from jazz history and Scandinavian contemporary jazz, culminating in a fascinating whole with a beautiful and unique sound.

Sakina Abdou Trio
The French saxophonist Sakina Abdou has assembled a remarkable trio with pianist Marta Warelis and drummer Toma Gouband. In a free and fluid form, we hear the musicians in a beautiful dialogue that alternates between the harmonic and the powerful. At the center of it all are Abdou's pulsating saxophone tones.
Sakina Abdou Trio performs on Wednesday August 13, 18.00. Tickets can be purchased here.
Røysum/Abrams/Drake
Clarinetist Andreas Røysum and the Chicago-based bassist and composer Joshua Abrams became acquainted a few years ago, and quickly realized they had to play together in a trio format. In a dream, it became clear and obvious to Røysum that he wanted to be part of transcendentally boiling interplay with Abrams and drummer Hamid Drake. Some dreams seem to function as glimpses of the future, meant to be manifested. Røysum, Abrams, and Drake are now emerging from the dream world, and will perform their debut concert at the Oslo Jazz Festival!
Røysum/Abrams/Drake performs on Thursday August 14, 18.00. Tickets can be purchased here.
Zoh Amba & Anja Lauvdal
The stage is set for an exciting encounter between two prominent and distinctive voices in the jazz scene: Zoh Amba and Anja Lauvdal! We will first experience a solo set from Amba on saxophone, which will then transition into a duo concert with Lauvdal joining on keys.
Amba has attracted significant attention over the past couple of years with a series of powerful albums, including her debut O, Sun, which was produced by John Zorn. Lauvdal has been a tremendous driving force in Norwegian music over the past fifteen years, with bands such as Moskus, Broen, and Skadedyr. This promises to be a powerful concert experience between two curious and fantastic musicians in free expression.
Zoh Amba & Anja Lauvdal performs on Friday August 15th, 18.00. Tickets can be purchased here.
