Jazz at MUNCHOslo Jazzfestival is proud to announce a new partnership with MUNCH.
Jazz at MUNCH is a series with roots going back to the 1960s, when Karin Krog and Johs Berg invited artists such as Jan Garbarek, Svein Finnerud, Bill Evans and Egil Kapstad to take part in now-legendary concerts in the museum’s exhibition halls at Tøyen. MUNCH is now carrying on this proud tradition at the new museum in Bjørkvika, with a series of concerts programmed in collaboration with Oslo Jazzfestival.
– Oslo’s jazz history has solid roots in both the Munch Museum and the Jazz festival. With this collaboration we’ll present live jazz shows in both the spring and autumn program, as well as during the festival in week 33, says festival director Øyvind Larsen.
This spring, Oslo’s jazz loving audience will have the pleasure to experience Arild Andersen Quintet, a preview on Hedvig Mollestad´s new project Weejuns and Marthe Lea Band in the Festsal at MUNCH. In week 33 Oslo Jazzfestival will, per usual, organize a variety of concerts at MUNCH. During the fall there will be yet another round of the concert series Jazz at MUNCH.
Tickets are sold via the MUNCH website.
