Steamdome III: Mightier and larger than ever!

Ola Kvernberg aims to create jaw-dropping moments among the audience when the third edition of Steamdome rolls into the Oslo Jazzfestival and Sentrum Scene on Friday, August 16th 2024. Enhanced with a symphony orchestra, the beast becomes bigger and more powerful than ever!

With Steamdome, Ola Kvernberg has made the leap from the jazz congregation through two albums and countless concerts, venturing further into club scenes and dance floors. When he unleashes the third and so far final part of the Steamdome universe, it's without inhibitions in a project that has already proven itself even larger, mightier, and stronger.

Steamdome III: Beyond The End premiered for over 3000 enthusiastic people during the twilight hours of Olavsfestdagene 2023, and during the summer of 2024, Steamdome III will be released as an album. When Ola Kvernberg's finely calibrated machinery takes over Sentrum Scene and the Oslo Jazzfestival, it will be immense in every possible way.

"This was actually the first booking I had in mind when I got the job as festival director," says Line Juul. "Ola Kvernberg is a fantastic musician with a unique ear for melodies that touch the audience, and I look forward to hearing the fusion of the Steamdome universe with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra at Sentrum Scene," Juul continues.
