Meet 8 great bands

June 5th, 2026:

It is a great pleasure to present these eight bands that have been selected to be this year's Oslojazz Talent bands! They will be playing free concerts at Juret, Becco, Blå, Himmel and Herr Nilsen during this year's festival, join the party!

Ace

ACE is a band that explores the acoustic quartet format. With modern expressions inspired by artists like Joel Ross, Brad Mehldau and Wako, they explore strong melodies, sonorous chords and strong rhythmic drive.

Ace will be playing at Juret Wednesday August 12th, 19.00 and at Herr Nilsen Saturday August 15th, 19.00.

CC Dahls

CC Dahls is the gunpowder cannon that stands at Kristiansten Fortress. CC Dahls is kjeldsberg with a mixing ratio of 10:1. CC Dahls is the air raid siren you hear at 12 noon on the first Wednesday in January and June!

CC Dahls will be playing at Herr Nilsen Wednesday August 12th, 23.00 and at Becco Saturday August 15th, 17.30.

Ingeborg Sollid Kvartett

Ingeborg Sollid Quartet combines acoustic jazz and synth-influenced pop, where jazz harmonica and improvisation meet soaring melodies and sonorous soundscapes. The musical expression is characterized by a listening interaction, large dynamic shifts and a warm band sound - where the combination of vocals and vibraphone in particular contributes to a distinctive timbre.

Ingeborg Sollid Kvartett will be playing at Becco Thursday August 13th, 19.00 and at Herr Nilsen Saturday August 15th, 20.30.

Isbit

Isbit plays jazzy, atmospheric and funky pop that they write together. The songs have a fresh, young and organic expression that is characterized by different genres. They have released some catchy singles, and have big plans for the future!

Isbit will be playing at Herr Nilsen Friday August 14th, 22.00 and at Blå - Himmel Saturday August 15th, 20.30.

Moon Inhabitants

Moon Inhabitants is a quintet with a playful and spontaneous approach to the composed material and a philosophy that anything can happen. The music is inspired by 60s free jazz, with a modern twist. The result is an energy bomb with unpredictable cosmic improvisations and down-to-earth naivety!

Moon Inhabitants will be playing at Herr Nilsen Thursday August 13th, 21.30 and at Blå - Himmel Friday August 14th, 20.30.

Spekkhogger

SKEKKHOGGER can be described as if John Coltrane walked into the wrong studio and ended up playing in Meshuggah. A collision of worlds that is difficult to imagine until you have experienced it. Heavy riffs, noise and clear melodies come together in an expression driven by collective improvisation, intensity and constant risk, where the songs are stretched, twisted and broken up.

Spekkhogger will be playing at Herr Nilsen Wednesday August 12th, 21.00 and at Becco Friday August 14th, 19.00.

Sunsei

Sunsei is a band based in Oslo that moves in a groovy landscape between neo-soul, pop and jazz. The music is characterized by warm sounds, driving rhythms and an expression that alternates between the playful and the vulnerable.

Sunsei will be playing at Blå - Himmel Thursday August 13th, 20.30 and at Herr Nilsen Saturday August 15th, 22.00.

Taraf

TARAF is an energetic band that plays Romanian folk music with roots in the Romani tradition. With driving rhythms, virtuosity and raw joy of playing, they create a soundscape that captivates both heart, soul and dancing feet.

Taraf will be playing at Herr Nilsen Thursday August 13th, 23.00 and at Becco Saturday August 15th, 19.00.
