Since 2004 jazz vocalist and songwriter Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen has released ten critically acclaimed albums, and this year she released her new album: «Red Lips, Knuckles and Bones». On the new album, Asbjørnsen is exploring a new landscape, both musical and lyrically. The music is still primarily groovy, playful and melodic jazz, but with a new and different swing to it. The lyrics deal issues like feminine rebellion, refugees and the loss of friend and artist Pushwagner. Musically, the album is influenced by 1960s grooves like those offered by Duke Pearson and Lee Morgan, with touch of RnB, and of course New Orleans.
